Who We Are

After 17 years of owning a Farmers Agency, Tom Dowd decided it was time for a change and started Dowd Insurance Agency in 2006. Since then the agency has proudly served communities across Texas, and in 2019, the agency began offering coverage in Colorado. Over the years, Tom has focused on 3 guiding principals for the agency:

1. Family – We are committed to fostering positive, trustworthy relationships and providing the same care and protection for our clients as we do for our own family. 
2. Generosity – We give generously of our time and knowledge to our clients, and we are involved with local needs through giving of our time and resources to organizations serving our community.

Giving Back

Investing back into the area is one of our top priorities! We strive to give back through supporting local charities such as Dell Children’s Superhero Kids, Celebration Church, Central Texas Food Bank and Austin Disaster Relief Network. We believe if we put our time and money where it matters the most, we all benefit! We’ve even tied our referral rewards program to charitable giving.
